Meet Isaac

Isaac has been a resident of Santa Barbara since 1960. He met and married his wife Alice and they raised their 3 children here. They currently reside in the San Roque area.

Isaac began his real estate career in Santa Barbara in1973, as a Real Estate Salesman. In 1979 he obtained his Real Estate Broker’s License. He has earned 5 advanced National Real Estate Designations: Graduate of Realtors’ Institute (GRI), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) and NAR's Green Designation(GREEN).  Isaac has also earned many real estate  certificates, including a Certificate as a “Certified Foreclosure Prevention Consultant”. Isaac’s real estate education is continuous because he knows the value of current information and the latest negotiating techniques are very important when advising his clients.

During Isaac’s 43 year real estate career, he has work with and supported the local board of Realtors, the California and National Association of Realtors. He services include but not limited to: The local board of directors, numerous committees and chair of several. During his 4 years of service as a California Association of Realtors State Director, he served on the following Committees; Professional Standards, Government Relations, Risk Management, Education and Equal Oppontunity. Isaac was also successful in his challege the California Real Estate Commissioner to implement more stringent safe-guards for consumer protection from real estate agents. He is currently serving his 19h year on the Professional standards Committee at the local board. Isaac is a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator for the Santa Barbara Association and California Association of Realtors and a lay Arbitrator for the California Bar Association.

The Local, State and National Association of Realtors has acknowledged Isaac’s support to the Real Estate Profession/Industry with over 25 Certificates and/or letters of appreciation. Isaac have also received 5 Annual Awards from the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors: including  “The REALTOR of the Year Award in 2011” and "HONORARY MEMBER FOR LIFE" in 2013. In 2014, The National Association of Realtors bestowed upon  him, the distinguished status of "REALTOR EMERITUS" . In 2015, the California Association of Realtors awarded him the Prestigious "HONORARY MEMBERSHIP FOR LIFE" in the association.

Management at Berkshire Hathaway California Properties, Prudential California Realty and Sunset Company Realtors has also acknowledged Isaac’s support to their companies with over 15 certificates of appreciation and awards.

Community Service

Although Isaac has contributed much of his time to the Real Estate Profession, he still finds time for community work. For over 46 years he has been a Drum Major for Racial  Equality and Justice for all people in Santa Barbara. Service to the community includes but not limited to:  Appointments to several City, County and School Board Committees; One year on the SB County Civil Grand Jury; Six years as President of the Local National Association For The Advancement Of Colored People (NAACP); Board of Directors, Trustee/Finance Committee and Usher in his local church; Consultant to the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission;  Community Advisor to the SB Junior League; Consultant to GTE for community  assistance for those in need; Mentor to  students in the SB School District; One of the founding members and past President of the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Santa Barbara, current First Vice President.


In 1969, Isaac received  the "Jaycee of the Year  Award"  for community service from the Santa Barbara Jaycees. In 1989, the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce gave him a "Recognition Award" for outstanding contributions in Santa Barbara County for having actively help furthered the Chamber of Commerce Mission: "To foster economic vitality and quality  life for the Greater Santa Barbara Comminity" . In 1990, Isaac received an award from the NAACP, Santa Barbara Branch for his  outstanding Generosity  to THE BRANCH, and the COMMUNITY because of HIS CONCERNS FOR CIVIL RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS AND EQUALITY FOR ALL PEOPLE.

In 1992, Santa Barbara County Presiding Superior Court Judge Ronald G. Stevens, presented to Isaac a "CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION"  in recognition of his conscientious performance of the important civic duty as a member of the 1991-92 Santa Barbara County Grand Jury and Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee. In 1994, Isaac was honored by the Santa Barbara News Press with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" for his service/contribution to Santa Barbara and the South Coast particularly in the areas of Community Development, Preservation, Charity and Education”, in the manner exemplified by Mr. T. M. Stroke, New-Press Publisher from 1901 to 1964. In 2014, the Vision of Hope Ministry of Santa Barbara, honored Isaac with a "Certificate of Special Recognition Award" for his dedication, Accomplishments, and Contribution to the Civil Rights Movement. Isaac has also received Certificates of Appreciation for Community Service from: formal Congressmember Lois Capps, formal CA State Assemblymember Das Williams and formal SB County First District Supervisor Salud Cabajal.

Isaac is passionate about the Real Estate Profession and his community and will continue to work hard to support both.
